Privacy policy

This policy explains what Newssy stores and why. In short: we collect very little, and we don’t ask you to create an account.

What is stored in your browser

• Following list: a small cookie remembers which sources you follow so we can show your personal feed. It lasts a year and contains only source names.
• Theme: your light/dark choice is kept in your browser’s local storage.

What our server records

Like any website, our server logs technical details of each request (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and troubleshooting. When you open a story we count the click anonymously to show which stories are being read most; the count is not linked to you.

Analytics

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

Third parties

• Publishers: when you open a story you leave Newssy and the publisher’s own privacy policy applies.
• YouTube: Live TV uses YouTube’s embed player. It loads only after you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube’s privacy policy applies to the video.
• Images: thumbnails and channel logos load directly from the publishers’ or YouTube’s servers.

Your choices

You can clear your following list and theme at any time by deleting this site’s cookies and data in your browser. Questions about privacy can be sent to (contact email not published yet).
