However, Epic Games has recently completed the Fortnite OG Ice King live event in the OG mode, which brings a few small tweaks to the classic Chapter 1 Season 7 live event. Although the Ice King live event is said to be somewhat disappointing compared to other live events hosted by Epic Games, it is still worth noting for its contribution to the history of Fortnite, which was a truly special game in its prime.

Fortnite OG Ice King Event 2026: Full Recap of What Went Down
Just like the previous leaks, the Fortnite OG Ice King live event was similar in format to the Chapter 1 Season 7 event. The live event started with the orb breaking apart above the Infinity Blade, releasing a wave of energy. This resulted in the Ice King, the legendary ruler of Polar Peak, coming out of the orb.

However, this time around, the Ice King could be seen sporting his new Remixed design, which was first shown in the Fortnite Love and Legends roadmap. As he ascended above the castle, the Ice King called forth a huge, transparent spectral form of himself positioned close to the western side of the map.
Next, the Ice King, employing his sorcery and dark magic spells cast by his hands, called forth a huge white mist cloud that was cast across the map in real-time. This resulted in the Fortnite OG map’s grassy terrain being covered in a thick layer of snow.
Further continuing in the footsteps of the Chapter 1 Season 7 event, the OG Ice King event also saw the return of Ice Legion spawners found across the map, further introducing a PvE element to the OG mode once again. Players can kill these ice creatures to obtain some good loot.
